This programming reflects the kind of music the ensemble is committed to present. Our mission includes brushing off some "musical gems" that were once heard regularly but are not revisited as often; and presenting the music of contemporary composers and arrangers. We will present serious, familiar and not-so-familiar master works, but we will also explore the lighter and sometimes whimsical side of the art.
In his book Mozart, Julian Rushton quotes Mozart: "Music must never offend the ear..." In addition, I feel that music should be gratifying for the audience to hear, but just as gratifying for the singers to sing and for the players to play.
