Look What Else They Wrote
A Spring Concert by The Michael Teolis Singers
Featuring unlikely works by established composers, the spring concert will include a popular song written by the esteemed British choral director and composer Sir David Willcocks, “You Bring Me Happiness;” an arrangement of “Younger Generation,” a song written by Aaron Copland, to the words of Ira Gershwin; “Two Churches,” from “Four New England Pieces” for chorus, by American jazz pianist Dave Brubeck; a Te Deum written by the “March King,” John Philip Sousa; and other unique selections by Ludwig van Beethoven, Robert Schumann, and George Shearing. The central work for the evening is Peter Schickele's, Concerto for Piano and Voices "The Twelve Months," featuring our guest artist, pianist, Justin Kolb.
